Electro-mechanical safety gate switches are the ‘bread-and-butter’ devices for safeguarding machine guard doors. But not all safety switches are built the same.
The amGardpro range of heavy duty safety gate switches exceeds virtually every other option on the market when it comes to extreme robustness, superior reliability, and unrivaled flexibility.
Thanks to its modular design, you can build your ideal safety interlocking solution that incorporates a multitude of functionality, including guard locking, into a single device.
But the true power of amGardprolies within its metal alloy and stainless steel construction. These switches are tested to withstand 5,000,000 cycles (B10d), meaning that they are built to last in even the toughest environments and high-vibration applications.
Why Choose amGardpro?
You've probably found that you've had to integrate multiple safety components into your application or machine design to achieve the required level of machinery safety compliance.
The modularity of the amGardpro range means that you implement multiple safety and control functions into a single device that's been designed, tested and third-party certified for use up to PLe/Cat. 4 or SIL 3.
Push buttons, E-stop, escape release handles for emergency exit, guard-locking functionality, and trapped key technology to prevent against unexpected machine restart can all be combined into a single unit.
Explore all customisation options that amGardpro has to offer in the range overview brochure.
Thanks to the addition of the proNet connectivity module, amGardpro heavy duty safety gate switches and standalone push-button control stations can now seamlessly communicate with EtherNet/IP, PROFINET and EtherCAT networks.
Standard and safety I/O are communicated through a chosen protocol via a cable connected to the Fortress proNet device. Safety I/O is exchanged using PROFIsafe, CIP safety, or Safety over EtherCAT.
Key features of proNet networking modules include:
3 Dual Channel Safety Inputs
Up to 40 standard I/O per configuration (depending on network protocol type)
An integrated network switch allowing for ‘daisy chain’ bus topologies
Diagnostic functions available via a web interface
Configure your ideal heavy-duty safety switch
Designing your preferred safety interlocking device has never been easier, thanks to the amGardpro online configuration tool. Easily view all customisation options and quickly select various components based upon the level of safety that your application calls for.
You can even size up a series of robust mounting plates options that will come pre-fitted to your configured safety device upon delivery. Speed through interlock installation as each mounting plate can be affixed to machine guards with just two fixings per plate.
