Our mission has always involved bringing people and technology together to fuel the growth, productivity, and technological advancement of industrial companies operating within the UK manufacturing and engineering sectors.
While we now operate over 13 regional sales offices spanning the entire breadth of the UK, we have always been deeply rooted in the South of England, originating right in the heart of North London.
Back in the early 1950's, we started life out as G.D. Underwoods, setting up shop on a small industrial estate in Tottenham with a clear vision of providing a 'comprehensive specialist service to industry' in the South of England.
At the time, this collaborative approach was refreshingly unique when compared to the typical 'box-shifter' mentality that most electrical wholesalers, at the time, would employ.
Many of the great British manufacturers located around London and the surrounding areas would seek us out, as the technical support that we provided on the industrial products that we supplied was vital to keeping their operations as innovative and competitive as possible, especially since specialist technical knowledge was not as easily accessible as it is now.
Since then, the UK manufacturing industry has undergone a series of transformations and shifts in automation technology. And while we too have continuously adapted our business to remain at the forefront of technological innovation, we still remain true to our firm commitment to offering a superior level of specialist technical support on all products that we carry.
